Today, we take a journey back in time. Yes, time. To a moment when young ALIANZ first took eyes upon MORTAL KOMBAT II. Already at an older age from when he first lay eyes upon MORTAL KOMBAT, the impact MORTAL KOMBAT II bestowed upon him would be everlasting...

It is true, MORTAL KOMBAT II is perhaps my all-time favorite MORTAL KOMBAT game (I still consider it the best in the series) but it also might be my favorite game of all time. The impact this game created was far greater than the impact the original had. That game was a great achievement. However, MORTAL KOMBAT II was MORTAL KOMBAT on steroids. Everything that you never thought you'd probably see in a video game - let alone a fighting game - was on display in the sequel, perhaps the way the series leads first intended it to be. It was amazing. It was everywhere. On the news, in magazines, school lunchrooms, Blockbuster, I can't even think of where else but if you were old enough to remember when this game came out, then you know exactly where I'm coming from.

That's the beauty of it.
