The very concept at the core of the inception of the franchise is all but forgotten, and we instead are "treated" to a zany tale of supernatural forces, the battle of good vs evil with the holy and righteous taking on Satan, with political intrigue and ancient mystery.
Oh, and there's a tornado kicking around somewhere, too.
