Let's be honest video gaming overall is really tough right now. not because of the fact that there's a lack of content. but there's a lack of communication between the game developers and the customers. NBA2K is the perfect example of what I'm talking about.

2K sports is celebrating 25 years of NBA 2K with the release of NBA 2K 24 coming up this September. You would think that over the span of 25 years that the good folks at 2K would realize that there's a lot of folks out there that just won basketball at its purest form replicated in a video game that markets it. despite the outcries from the community 2K still refuses to listen to voices in the community that would benefit the product long-term.

At this point is not really about basketball anymore it's about monetary gain it's about the bottom line. I've warned people that played NBA 2K in the past that in the future they may be bringing in Call of Duty like bundles and paid seasons. the legacy issues in the game as enough to not purchase this game but 2K has spoken about a new feature called pro play. ways to my understanding is a replication of real life basketball and then transferred into the game via animations and capture screens.

At the end of the day cross-play can be a great feature introduced into NBA 2K 24 but I don't feel as though that it's enough to come to community from all of the other things that 2K refuses to address. when this game is not about winning when it's not about losing and when it's not about having fun with your friends and that means that it has become deeper than just basketball it's become I pay to win structure that I will take no part in.
