Update - as I open more packs throughout NBA 2K20 season, I will update my % of PDs. I am also keeping track of Diamonds and Amys. These are what people are seeking and typically go for more than 10/20K MT points. Also, I have read that NBA 2K and other games are going to start issuing pack odds by year end or at least have a plan to do so...let's wait and see...

I have calculated that the chances of opening a PD is 0.2%...meaning, you will have to open 500 cards (approximately 100 five packs) for you to have a decent chance of getting a PD. However, just like in gambler's fallacy, the probability is over time. Just because you have flipped heads 20 X in a row, does not mean the next one HAS TO BE tails...over 1000s of tosses, you will see 50% heads and 50% tails. So, I will need to keep this in mind as I open packs. And for now, with 3PDs and Isaiah Thomas evo card to Galaxy Opal, I am good with what I have (unless of course they release a Larry Bird or Kevin McHale PDs lol) for now and will not be opening packs for a bit.
