xemu is currently available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Flatpak, and Ubuntu PPA operating systems.

- Windows 10 (I tried Windows 11 shortly after it released and found it to be too buggy for what I mostly do on PC, so I reverted back to Windows 10)

xemu setup and settings:
If a setting isn't mentioned below, assume I left it at its default.
Also note that with my PC (Windows 10), I usually run my 4K monitor at 300% "Scale and layout" from within the operating system's "Display" settings. However, that causes xemu's upscaling to not work properly... but setting it back to 100% makes everything work as it should.
For the initial setup of xemu, you need the following files (Google for them or watch other videos here on YouTube if you need them):
SETTINGS - SYSTEM
-MCPX Boot ROM: mcpx_1.0.bin
-Flash ROM (BIOS): Complex_4627.bin or Complex_4627v1.03.bin (I believe either will work)
-Hard Disk: You can use the default one if you don't want to be able to boot into the original MS dashboard (more on that below)
-EEPROM: eeprom.bin
NOTE: To enable native 16:9 widescreen support, you need to be able to boot into the official Microsoft dashboard via xemu, which involves booting into a replacement dashboard using the dashboard's .iso file, then FTP'ing the official dashboard, and tweaking a few settings. You can get started with that here: https://xemu.app/docs/ftp/ -- You will likely need to search YouTube for how to do this whole process as it can be a bit confusing/complex. I believe you can also make adjustments to the eeprom.bin file, but I didn't mess with that myself.
SETTINGS - INPUT
I am using an official Xbox One controller connected to my PC via USB. The emulator automatically detects and maps all of the buttons with this setup.
SETTINGS - DISPLAY
-Internal resolution scale: I have found this to be dependent on the game. Some games will run at full speed for me when I render them in 4K (i.e. 6x), others struggle at 1x or 2x, and yet others somewhere in-between. You'll have to play around with this setting to see what works best for your setup on a game-by-game basis.
-Vertical refresh sync: On
-UI sacle: 2x (I like it at 2x better than 1x, but try out both and see what suits you).
-Display mode: Scale (should be the default, but I don't remember exactly).
-Aspect ratio: 4:3 for games that do not support native 16:9 and 16:9 for games that natively support it (assuming you have it enabled with the official MS dashboard).
SETTINGS - NETWORK
In order to be able to FTP files over to setup the official dashboard (search on YouTube for how to do this if you want the official MS dashboard), you'll need to setup the adapter here so it is enabled, attached to NAT, and port forwarding to something like 2121 host port, 21 guest port, and TCP protocol.
