Whoa who thought I'd review this?! This is Cave Story, also sometimes known as Dōkutsu Monogatari, released for the PC in 2004.

This game is freeware. That means it is fully legal to download (for free) and that you have no excuse not to check this out. I'm willing to bet that this will indeed run on your computer.

HOW TO GET THIS SHIZNIT:
1. Go to http://www.miraigamer.net/cavestory/
2. Look to the left and immediately under "Download Game", click to download for your system.
3. Click and download the English patch (because without it, you'll be stuck with Japanese text). When you click the link, you'll be forwarded to the Aeon Genesis website. This is okay, these are the people who translated it, just find the link on that page and get it.
4. Unzip the files you just downloaded into a folder. If your awful computer doesn't already have an unzipping program, get winrar (if you're using a PC), install it, and use it. Just do it, it can't break your system. Go to http://www.rarlab.com/ to download and install it.
5. Apply the translation patch. There will be a .exe file in the translation patch zip that will walk you through the process.
6. Play!

NOTE: There's a deluxe version on the website you can download which already has the game translated. It comes with a bunch of extra crap you don't really need. It's a convenient single download, but I've heard of it running rough on some systems compared to just getting the game as I described.
