Necropolis - 3 - Illusory Walls, Rations, and What are Inugami?

We continue on, lower into the Necropolis. Exploring level 2, eating rations, drinking potions, always searching for better loot. We experience our first illusory wall in this episode, which are activated simply by reading the scrawled text on the Necropolis walls. I'm not sure if there is a way to tell which text indicates an illusory wall and which is simply lore, but maybe that will come with time.

From watching the Necropolis gameplay, you can probably already tell that playstyle and flexibility will strongly determine how long or if you will survive. Currently, I am favoring the Pyramid Longsword for its range, high damage, and knockdown ability. However, dealing with groups of small, quick enemies could prove to be my downfall very easily. Having a secondary, fast, high-DPS weapon could be very beneficial. Who knows what other weapon types we'll encounter in level 3.

There are ranged off-hand weapons available, like a crossbow and wand, and I'm really hoping I pick one up soon. The shields can be extremely helpful to fend off the standard attacks from the hoardsmen and the like, but I just don't find myself using them as often.
