My adventures in the Necropolis continue in Level 2. The gameplay begins to pick up as I experiment more with the shield bash ability and Grine Longsword charged attack and special attack. How did I not realize how punishing this move was?

The Necropolis patch 1.02 (http://steamcommunity.com/app/384490/discussions/0/359543951710299680/) did claim to add more information to the codex descriptions, but the changes do appear to be subtle. I am still unsure how each of the codexes affect your gameplay. Some of them seem self-explanatory, such as helping you to not vomit when you eat rotten food. That's ok, the more I play, the more I'll learn, and maybe I'll consider doing a full walkthrough of the gameplay one day.

I have actually talked to the Necropolis developer, Harebrained Schemes, and I have a surprise in store coming very soon ,so stay tuned!

If I were to review Necropolis today, I would say that I see a game with immense potential. I really enjoy the threat of permadeath, the creative artstyle is whimsical and unique, and the idea of regularly finding new loot is exciting. They have a long way to go to make sure their game is remembered beyond its initial release, but I see a future here. Adding more content in ways of new enemies (including boss enemies), loot, and maps, making co-op more challenging (currently, it's very easy and quick to revive your partners if they go down), adding more information into the game to make it a little easier to know which weapon or armor set is the right one for you would go a long way to preserving this game. The long-term gameplay should also be rewarded. Unlocks and awards for escaping the Necropolis would really give players something to shoot for.

I look forward to playing the game more and see it updated and patched to become a game I can't put down.
