Need For Speed II Special Edition - Hero Car: Ferrari F355 F1
12Need For Speed II Special Edition arrived on the PC in late 1997 and was a tweaked version of the original NFS2 release.
Additions here are a new "Wild" handling mode, support for Glide 3Dfx accelerated graphics and some extra new car (plus unlocked bonus car from the first game). Oh and a new Last Resort track (not "Lost Resort" as I called in the video, doh!).
In this video I explain why I chose the Ferrari F355 F1, given that the European/UK box art also has the McLaren F1 and Italdesign Calà, whilst the US box has the Ferrari F50. I then try a race against the Italdesign Calà on the new Last Resort stage, which also appeared in the Need For Speed II Special Edition demo.
