With the spooks over, it's time for a real American Classic: the Shelby Daytona. The Daytona, or Daytona Cobra Coupe, was designed and built solely for one purpose: to beat Ferrari, much like the GT40. It had a big V8, but it was light on its feet, making it much better in the corners than the original 427S/C Cobra. The result was a car that set out what it was built to do and beat Ferrari to become the FIA International Manufacturers GT Champion in 1965. And now, you get to carry that LeMans heritage out on Blackridge. How cool is that?
