2Because Need for Speed Underground rode the success of the first Fast and furious film, which was released in 2001, there was no doubt that during the game's development, EA Black Box went as far as to cram as many references to the movie into the game as possible. But the BIGGEST example is the FMV time-lapse background(which just so happened to be the Chinatown section of the Market Street course) that was used on the main menu screen in the beta version of the PS2 release, which looked a lot like the time-lapse background on the menu of the DVD release of the first Fast and Furious movie. So, I imagined that if Underground were to have been made into a movie that would later be released on DVD, that EA would've made an almost one-for-one recreation of that film's DVD menu.
