A comparison of two servers response to controller inputs. The graph on the right shows the steering input on the X axis, throttle input on Y axis, and the brake input on the R vertical bar. In the first clip, the car responds with just a slight movement on the X axis, while in the second clip, there is a large dead zone where the car doesn't respond at all, and at +/- 50%, only a small response, and at +/- 100% full response. The left joystick forward | back is the throttle + brake, the right joystick left | right is steer. I use this setup because it is similar to radio control transmitter setups.
