Need for Speed™ Most Wanted 2005 (PC) - Introduction [Prologue] HARD
1Welcome to the series of Need for Speed™ Most Wanted 2005. A place where there's some real competition out there with 15 most notorious racers are still in the run at a city so-called Rockport during in broad daylight.
Six days prior to their challenge against Blacklist racer #15, Mr. Player first arrives in Rockport driving in a silver BMW M3 GTR E46 and gets quickly noticed by an unknown woman driving in a red Mazda RX-8, whom wants to race against him through town. Mr. Player is later stopped by Sergeant Cross and his killer unnamed partner, after reaching Downtown Rockport for illegal street racing and driving a non-street legal vehicle. Before Mr. Player could be apprehended, Cross and his killer partner are called in to respond to an ongoing pursuit on their radio, forcing them to let Mr. Player go.
Two days after the incident, Mr. Player becomes involved in the local street racing scene by challenging Ronnie who's driving in a yellow Toyota Supra in a sprint race. Upon defeat, Ronnie leads him to his crew leader Razor, who mocks Mr. Player for being a new arrival and for allegedly using "bolt-on" performance parts. A unknown woman from two days ago was revealed as Mia who shows up again and sides with Mr. Player. Razor suggests Mr. Player to race against his accomplice Bull for 5,000 cash before being able to challenge him. Due to a demand by Mia to raise the prize higher, Razor calls in the police on his phone to give Mr. Player a greater challenge.
Two more days after defeating Bull in a sprint race, Mr. Player encounters a group of street racers including Rog who appeared out of nowhere and drives in a black Pontiac GTO, and successfully defeats them in a circuit race. Being impressed by his driving skills, Rog gives Mr. Player advice on the racing scene and makes sure to stay in touch with him. Mr. Player is approached by Razor who's driving in a black Ford Mustang GT right after talking with Rog, who agrees to finally race against Mr. Player and puts his car on the line in a pink slip race.
On the present day reckoning, Mr. Player races against Razor in a sprint race, but is later forced to abort the race due to an oil leak that seized up the engine. As a result, Mr. Player is forced to hand his car to Razor and is mocked even more by his crew. Adding insult to injury, the police became aware of their race and soon arrived on the scene. Having no means of his escape, Mr. Player surrenders to the police and is arrested by Sergeant Cross and his killer partner.
Some time later, Mr. Player is released from police custody due to a lack of evidence and gets picked up by Mia at the station. Whilst driving to her safehouse, she reveals to them the person behind the sabotage of his car is Razor. She also mentions to Mr. Player that Razor managed to defeat the entire Blacklist and becomes #1 on the Blacklist, thanks to his recently lost car. To aid Mr. Player in getting into the Blacklist, Mia provides him to her safehouse in Rosewood and a new car provided by a contact with her assistance, Ed.
