Need for Speed Payback is a racing game set in an open world environment of Fortune Valley; a fictional version of Las Vegas, Nevada. It is focused on "action driving" and has three playable characters (each with different sets of skills) working together to pull off action movie like sequences. In contrast with the previous game, it also features a 24-hour day-night cycle.
Chapter 3: City Lights This chapter is going to introduce you into two different racing types, Drag and Drift. Drift races are head to head matches putting you against another car in a round based system where you have to win either best 2 of 3, or 3 of 5. Drag races involve tracks that are typically straight and short, so your car will mostly be dedicated to acceleration and top speed over maneuverability and such.
