The Modified Rom here attempts to bring in a lot of various concept art/prototype ideas from the early days of development into Sonic 1 such as: art, character design, level layouts, and even soundtrack altercations.
Would also make a note here; at one point it was mentioned recently that a reboot was potentially in the works, but as of yesterday, it got cancelled sadly, so this might actually be the last build.
As far as I know, the only existing demo that's available is the very first one dating back to the beginning of 2024.
