Neo Rank Masters (bonus) - Die Hard Game Fan coverage (late 92-mid 93)
13A while back we looked at some special Neo-Geo inserts that were included in old issues of EGM, this time I decided to look back at another old magazine - the infamous Die Hard Game Fan. A magazine produced with a lot of passion for games, but often a little low on the professional end of things. Games would get lavish (also additionally garish most of the time) layouts full of pictures, and the magazine had a high content-to-ad ratio which was awesome. In these early issues of DHGF they gave the Neo-Geo lots of coverage, often covering older games when there was nothing new that month. But, as Game Fan started up during the fighting game craze, it came at a time when the Neo-Geo was transitioning into a bigger focus on fighting games, and many of the reviews are decrying SNK for not giving them things like RPG's (???) instead of fighting games.
