In 1994, third-party developer Face signed on and intended to release two games for the Neo-Geo - a puzzle game called Gururin that somehow got released and occupies the bottom slot of our ranking list, and Zupapa, a single-screen platformer in the style of games like Bubble Bobble and Snow Bros. For whatever reason, this game was shelved. SNK in 2001, not really having anyone left in-house to develop original games, acquire the rights to this unreleased game and then rebrand it as an SNK game. It's good this game got some sort of release in the end, because it's actually a pretty fun game with a very 90's soundtrack!
