The gameplay alternates between a visual novel narrative and a journey across the continent, exploring locations and real-time battles.
You control a team of girls who represent the video game consoles.
The game has 10 characters (4 Goddesses+4 Goddess Candidates+2 Makers) and 2 Antagonists.
You will be able to switch between playable characters with some restrictions. You can only control three at a time (you can switch between each character in real-time and perform combo attacks based on button prompts appearing).
Each character has a basic four-attack combo and special attack (activated once the gauge for it fills up).
As you progress/level up you gain access to new abilities, features, equipment, team members.
There are plenty of side quests (defeat an enemy, find items or help a lost villager) to complete for additional currency, experience and to gather researchers to create discs that can be applied for additional buffs.
I recommended to buy the deluxe edition if you want to get the Swimsuit Costume Set (is purely cosmetic).
Keep in mind that the Steam version of the game had been censored, and Supporting Maho and Anri as playable characters only the Switch version.
