After hearing that Feasel was using a way to manipulate the RNG in order to get the first 3 houses in the right order for speedrun purposes I determined to verify this approach, explain how it works, and to demonstrate that it works. Keep in mind what ZeroNoin said here even though I did not know this when I made the video: "Values in these addresses persist through Resets, so the manipulation must be done from Power On." You need to power off and then back on otherwise what was done prior to the reset will be retained.

If you are using an Everdrive then you will have to power off. Power on to menu, when rom loading press and hold up, when the text title screen fades, within that 11 frame window, you will press and hold select, start, A, and B. At least this worked with an Everdrive and front-loader.

Another person found that holding nothing and using just start in that 11 frame window to work with their front-loader.
