Yes it is indeed possible to transform an NES rom into a SNES rom.
There are several programs out there that attempt to accomplish this
and there is one in particular that I have been experimenting with.
My results have been mixed but the process is fairly complex and it
may be possible to improve my results. Here is a brief look at the
software and a few games I have attempted to convert over.
