Netflix Live Action Doesn't Know Why Avatar Last Airbender Was A Good Show
Netflix doesn't understand what made the original Avatar the Last Airbender so iconic. It's that they covered serious real life themes like sexism, death, and way more within the story. Remember when Uncle Iroh sings Brave Soldier Boy about his son who passed during the war? This not only covers a serious topic that we all remember, but now we know why his relationship with Zuko is so powerful. This is what Sokka's sexism did for Katara's character growth. Katara also has to deal with this when facing Master Pakku, as well as Sokka overcoming this flaw when kneeling to the Kyoshi warriors to train with them. Albert Kim over at Netflix doesn't seem to understand that which is why the original creators parted ways with the show back in 2020.
