Thinking about going to school for music, figured I'd download Sekaiju and try my hand at making music from what little I know about the craft.

Track List:
0:00 Nascence
3:39 Crescence
7:42 Benevolence
11:29 Malevolence
12:17 Radiance

Comments:
Nascence - I had just finished listening to the entirety of Black Sabbath's discography and wanted to write a doomy-style song similar to what Tony Iommi would have written in the Paranoid/Master of Reality era. The very first song I made, specifically the middle section came first, and then the beginning and end came after.

Crescence - I wanted to make a song that didn't have guitars, and primarily used the bass as the main instrument, and I think I did fine. I also wanted to try my hand at writing a solo, which for my very first solo I also think was fine.

Benevolence - This song stumped me a little, it took me about 2 or 3 weeks to make and I wanted to make a song that featured the drums heavily, but wasn't sure how to do it and make the drums plus the melody sound good, but ultimately I'm happy with the way this turned out.

Malevolence/Radiance: Malevolence is the 48 second intro to Radiance, so I'll just review them together; my proudest creation by far. I love every second of this song and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I wanted to make a black metal song that blended the styles of Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, and Mayhem, and I'm extremely happy with how it turned out. I'm excited to make more songs like this.
