Neurotic tendencies don't seem like they'd help anyone live longer, but research has connected the two together, but it's not really clear why. Kim and Xander (The Library Bards, King of the Nerds) break it down.

People who show signs of neuroticism tend to live longer, according to a new longitudinal study in the journal Psychological Science."*
