At the time of recording this episode, I was out of town. I packed light. Lots of things got left behind, like my webcam and my controller. BIG MISTAKE! After having played this game with mouse and keyboard, I would not wish this experience on even my greatest enemies! Just don't. While I get that the Fatal Frame series was originally a console exclusive, the developers decided to increase accessibility (yay! always a good thing!) by porting two titles to Steam. And while Steam does offer gamepad support for many of its titles, PC games and mouse and keyboard kinda just go hand in hand. And I just don't think bigger developers should be able to get away with doing a lazy job at this. Don't put it on Steam if you're planning on half-assing it. Or put it on Steam and just deal with the blowback of announcing to players that they'll need to use a gamepad. This was not done well, and it will affect my review.

Quick note -- I did eventually correct myself later in the episode, but I somehow got in my head that Ruka's mom was dead. There were some diary entries about Ruka's treatment at the hospital and Dr. Haibara and her father claimed that if she wore the masks she would be able to see her mother. Seeing that the masks are involved in rituals to shepherd the dead over to the other side, my mind just immediately jumped to Sayaka being dead, even though we know from an earlier cutscene that she is the one who urged Choshiro to go back to Rogetsu Isle. Sorry in advance about my dum dum brain's mixup!
