Porsche has announced a new Manthey Kit for the 718 Cayman GT4 RS that is tailored for enhanced performance on the racing track. Developed in collaboration with the Nordschleife experts at Manthey, this kit has enabled the 718 Cayman GT4 RS to complete a lap at the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife circuit in 7:03.121 minutes - a record that surpasses the car's previous best by 6.179 seconds. The kit, which focuses on improving aerodynamics and chassis components, also includes optional track-ready pads for the vehicle's robust braking system. Porsche Centres worldwide will provide the road-legal components as aftermarket additions.

The Manthey Kit introduces substantial alterations to the aerodynamics of the 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Among the most noticeable changes are the addition of functional aero parts, such as flaps, air curtains, a wheel arch Gurney flap, and a new carbon underbody with diffusers, all aimed at enhancing the downforce on the front end. At the rear, a wider wing with a new blade and larger endplates, along with CFRP-made aerodiscs, boost the downforce on the rear axle, nearly doubling the downforce to 169 kilograms at 200 km/h with the Performance setting. All these adjustments are aimed at optimizing the vehicle's performance during track usage.

In addition to aerodynamics, the kit also brings in significant upgrades to the suspension system. Developed jointly with Manthey, a special coilover suspension with an inverted setup has been incorporated, which can be adjusted to four different positions for the ideal track experience. Additionally, the spring struts can be fine-tuned for rebound and compression stages, while the spring rates on the front suspension have seen a 20% increase. Other kit components include steel brake lines for precise pressure point and optimal braking power, along with optional special racing brake pads for superior friction behavior across a wide temperature range. To visually personalize the car, illuminated door sill guards bearing the Manthey logo and optional towing loops are also included in the kit.
