German leisure carrier Condor has unveiled a distinctive new striped livery design, which it says has been inspired by “parasols, bath towels and beach chairs”.

The stripes come in five colours – yellow, red, blue, green and beige – which the airline says “stand for the facets of the diversity of Condor’s guests, employees and the multitude of opportunities to discover the world with Condor”.

The fuselage also features the carrier’s name in lower case, while the aircraft tailfin is painted with a refreshed version of the Condor signet.

Selected A320, A321 and B757 aircraft will feature the new livery in the coming weeks, flying to destinations including Mallorca, Greece, the Canary Islands and Egypt, with around 80 per cent of the airline’s fleet being repainted by 2024. The carrier’s forthcoming A330 neo will also feature the new livery when it comes into service this autumn.
