New Daily Routine Day #1
I'm trying out a new practice routine. Perhaps I'll do a guide for it in the future, for now I'm just posting my doing it. This is the RANGE portion only. I also do Deathmatch miyagi method after this until I feel good enough to do some unrated.
I'm hoping that over time I will be able to improve and have a record of my improvement. For this purpose I'll always list my current rank and we'll see how long it takes me to raise in the ranks.
RANK - Bronze 3
This is however, not very telling of my rank BECAUSE I was playing with friends who are insanely better than I am. So... basically. I'm boosted.
ROUTINE:
Open Practice w/ Guardian from front - 1:16
This I do until I feel like I'm warmed up a little bit. My fingers feel less stiff, my movements less jittery and picking up speed. Just going from side to side, trying to keep my crosshair at head level to work up the muscle memory. My overall GOAL of this though is to just get blood flowing.
Open Practice w/ sheriff from front - 5:25
I am adding this in because I'm not very good with the sheriff. I want to just get used to the feeling of this gun so I'm adding it into portions to get the feel and practice aim with it.
Open Practice from Back Pillar - 7:25
Do this I stand against the back pillar of the range to practice various guns to practice my crosshair placement and smooth movement between targets at different angles. For this I limit it to 3 "laps". A lap being a full rotation from the left side, to the right side, to the left again. The guns I use for this to practice taps, movement, crosshair, etc are:
Sheriff - 7:28
Guardian - 8:19
Spectre - 9:15
Phantom - 10:21
Vandal - 11:19
Ghost - 12:16
Practicing Clusters / bursts on the Target - 13:52
For this I go to the target and set the distance to 20m. Then with a vandal I am practicing burst firing 3 bullets. With this I'm trying to land the 3 bullets as close to each other as I can. Trying to control the recoil and get it so that I can keep 3 bullets at a "head" or target.
Shooting Range w/ Sheriff - 16:01
For this I start with EASY speed. This is to practice my crosshair placement, flicks and building the bit muscle memory. For EASY speed I know I am more than good enough tp get all 30 of these, so I don't allow myself to move on until I have gotten 30 at LEAST 2x. If it feels like I need more time, like there are large gaps between my 2 30s. Then I will keep going.
After I move to MEDIUM speed. Which I know my reaction time isn't great atm. So for Medium speed I focus mostly on just trying to flick to the head of the bot before it disappears. I don't expect myself to get 30 for this YET, but with work I hope to. Instead I work on getting a minimum of 10 2xs. If I get more, like for this I for 18 and 15 then I'm happy. However flicks and muscle memory are the most important. I don't want to be panic shooting. Which I did do in this.
Strafe Bots - 28:34
This is the last section of my routine that I'll be doing. I know that along with my reaction time, my ability to trace is very weak. So I want to practice this. To do it, I put it on Eliminate 50 Strafe with either a guardian or a sheriff. Then I basically try to follow the bots with my crosshair for a bit before I shoot them. I do this for all 50 for the practice and then I'm done with my practice range routine.
