As you could figure out by the name, this program is one of the many Tetris
(tm) clones. Of course, you will ask why should I play with this one,
especially since it's written in that rotten old Quick Basic 4.5. Well,
even though the compiler is far from good, play once, and you'll see that
the end result is far from being bad! Tetr'is ][ also packs in an unique
feature unexplored by other clones: the good old Tengen(tm) Tetris version
that Nintendo (tm) buried alive. So, to this moment, TETR'IS 2 is probably
the best Tetris (tm) clone available (along with Maxtris(c) :).

Here's the good news! It costs absolutely nothing. I'm offering this game
as a freeware and ask no money for it. However, if you feel an overload of
generosity, you can e-mail me at my Internet address, mentionned later in
this document. I welcome any comments, bugs, good, bad, neutral that you
may want to make me hear, just drop a letter in my In-Box!

In fact, Tengen was a game programming team for the Nintendo console gaming
system. They created what we know as TETRIS first. But, for a reason I
don't know nor fully understand (I think it's a fraud or something like
that), Nintendo released TENGEN it's license and retired all their games
from the market (these games were, from that moment on, illegal to sell or
buy!) I was, at that time, a lucky owner of TENGEN's tetris (which was the
only one existing, of course not the only cartridge but the only tetris
game, at that time, NINTENDO then followed). So, to come to the point, the
style was very different. TENGEN's basic tetris screen was kind of split,
on one side you had your play, on the other your stats (singles, lines,
score, etc.) If you were playing in 2-players mode, there were two playing
screens and the stats were showed in a contracted way. As for what I
remember, the levels were approximately all 30 lines in length (that varied
from levels to levels). And, you had bonuses and animations between each
levels. There were small characters in the center of the screen (Russian!)
and the more tetrises (4-lines) you had, the more characters were dancing
in the bonus screen, funny! In my game, TENGEN mode is the following: it
takes 30 lines to step up one level (the speed increases 2-times faster),
bonuses between each level and the scoring is a little bit different. For
the rest, it's exactly the same good old tetris game!
