Valve made an update for Half-life's 25th anniversary that increased the renderer's geometry limits on goldsrc engine, which can lead to higher visual detail on levels.

They did a Counter-Strike 1.6 update today to fix the crashes the game had during the past days after they did the engine update.

So, I wanted to check if the new HL levels worked on CS 1.6 as well.
They did.

Good times ahead for mappers, I think.

I wonder if an influx of new levels making use of these improved geometry features will happen sometime in the near future...
