New IV Changes Coming to Fire Emblem Heroes in February 2019 (Assets and Flaws)
875Today we're discussing the upcoming February 2019 changes to Fire Emblem Heroes that have been announced in game. Intelligent Systems has announced that they will be making some changes to how IVs (individual values) work in the game. They've, for the first time, officially dubbed them as "assets" and "flaws" as opposed to the popularly used "boons" and "banes" and will make some changes to the game regarding merging. From this update on, every time you merge a character they will now have their flaw stat completely removed by receiving +3 to that stat upon the first merge (and alongside the original merge bonuses) this makes it so that characters with - attack or - speed IVs can now effectively be fixed without too much more effort or money, all you will need is a second copy of the character. For units with neutral IVs or no asset or flaw, they will instead receive double the original merge bonus (first highest level 1 stat +2 and second highest level 1 stat +2) and an extra +1 to the next highest stat at level 1. This will make things much better for a lot of players, especially free to play players who can't afford to summon numerous copies of units, and allows the focus to be more about the asset or boon stat the character has. This will, however, also be a benefit to Intelligent Systems as players may be inclined now to summon at least two copies of each character to negate the flaw stat completely. What do you think?
