Today we are doing May 4th right, and building the Lego Star Wars UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) TIE Interceptor set #75382, with 1,931 pieces. I am super excited about a new UCS set, but I’m not super excited about getting this particular set. But first, going over the box, the set does seem really nice, and seems to be a great display piece. Unboxing the set we find 22 bags, a single book, and a medium sticker sheet. Building the set is manageable in a day, but was rather bland as the set is a parallel style build. Reviewing the set we go over all of the greebling and build techniques. We compare it with the 2016 TIE Fighter to show how much more rounded TIE UCS sets have become with the addition of new parts. We do compare the single TIE Pilot minifigure with the 2016, and the 2023 play version. The 2023 play pilot is very similar in style, minus the gender and arm printing. But the 2024 pilot seems to be a bit more updated then the 2016 with more line and detailing. Overall, I like the set, but can’t get over the fact we could have had something else more fitting to the 25 anniversary theme of The Phantom Menace going on currently. I do recommend the set for any collector, but suggest to maybe wait a year for a good sale. I hope you all enjoyed this video, and a look forward to whats next, as its May the 4th Be With You week!
