Back in MAY the FCC reformed the part 95 rules and they went into effect today. This affects GMRS, FRS CB radio, MURS and other part 95 devices and services ONLY in the USA.

GMRS licensing is now 10 years
TX Power changes for FRS and GMRS
Channel reallocation for FRS
Data bursts of no more than 1 second
No more multi service radios will be classified as part 95
