A previous announcement was that BKOM Studios is doing 2 video games, with a smaller project being announced first. (That data point should have tipped me off!) BKOM should have been clearer in their initial teaser yesterday. I'm disappointed that it is not a turn-based RPG, but it does exceed my expectations of what their first game would be!

Addressing some skepticism online:
1. "We don't know it's a CRPG"? We need confirmation that it uses the 2E ruleset. If it doesn't, then they are f***ing up by raising expectations. But it is based an Adventure Path that uses the Pathfinder 2e rules, and not on a board game (which BKOM's Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation was).
2. Why is it crowdfunding? Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous were done with Kickstarters. There's a number of advantages to crowdfunding, including absorbing risk that small- and mid-size companies like Paizo and BKOM can't pay for. We will learn more.
