New program aims to protect renters in Detroit VIDEO
As winter approaches, Detroit tenants are increasingly concerned about inadequate heating in their rental homes. Help Me Hank has received numerous calls from tenants fearing retaliation from landlords if they speak out. The city has recently implemented a new rental ordinance allowing renters to place payments in escrow to compel landlords to comply with housing codes.
