Usually when you need to top up your armour and snacks you're about to get wasted, so having to fiddle with the Interaction menu was not ideal. However, with the new DLC you can top up in a couple of clicks by just opening the weapon wheel and tapping on the snack or armour option. It's a big improvement to the gameplay, but bear in mind you can't use it when you're inside a vehicle and will still have to use the Interaction menu there...
