NEW Resident Evil’s Project Resistance Official Teaser (Resident Evil Game)
18Capcom teased a new team-based survival horror game called Resident Evil: Project Resistance on Monday.
The teaser trailer shows four teenagers infiltrating what looks like a top-secret Umbrella lab. A mysterious figure flips a switch and locks them in a room full of flesh-eating zombies where they have to fight to survive.
The trailer is a cinematic, not the in-game engine. But if it gives any sense of what the game might play like, Project Resistance could be Capcom’s take on Left 4 Dead or Dead Island.
Capcom has already confirmed the team-based aspect of Project Resistance. Given the number of on-screen characters in the trailer, it’s probably a safe bet that it will support four-player co-op.
This wouldn’t be the company’s first stab at co-op in a Resident Evil game. Capcom first attempted online co-op with Resident Evil Outbreak on the PS2 back in 2003. More recently, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 both featured co-op.
Project Resistance is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game will be playable at Tokyo Game Show. We’ll be sure to share gameplay as soon as it becomes available, so stay tuned!
