The speed is not great, but good enough for everyday use. This drive had been scanned for bad sectors and the drive is good. This is the best TB-to-price ratio that I can find, and initially tested and concluded to be a pretty good drive. It is intended to be loaded with educational contents for that rural kid whom doesn't have fast internet access. 4TB is a lot of content, when I am struggling to finish my 4MB ebook for months.

PS. The internal drive is a 15mm Seagate Barra 4Tb 2.5" drive that retails for $120 while this external one costs only $100, so you pay $20 less for a free-enclosure and a free USB cable.
