New Stationeer Tutorials (August 5, 2024)
1This morning -- August 5, 2024 -- RocketWerkz published an update to Stationeers that deployed the new way they want to to Tutorials, plus the first three tutorials. They also asked for feedback.
So I popped back into Windows and ran through them.
TLDR: I like.
The big feedback is an ongoing thing: I would like to have a TOGGLE option for Mouse Control rather than clamping a finger onto a button when moving stuff around. Moving the camera is like pointing with my nose, but with mouse control it's more like using a finger which I prefer.
Specific to the tutorials:
- I like the Helper Hints window and approach
- Never got the "my hands are being held too much" feeling. BIG UP.
- Never got "stuck" but did need to think. This is good.
I did a bit of running commentary on the tutorials and my extra bits of
exploration. NOT saying this should be part of the tutorials, this is just the way I interact with the game and camera.
