You know... I think lava would be a pretty handy thing to have around if you could survive being next to it's extreme heat. You could cook stuff with it, you could light up an area at no cost, the energy from it could potentially be used for fuel actually, maybe use cooled lava to build houses... The possibilities are endless! If only our skin wasn't damaged by heat so easily... Well, maybe evolution will take care of that in the next few thousand years or so.
