New Super Mario Bros. U co-op walkthrough (with commentary) Part 39 [FINALE]
298This is the end! It took a while, but this co-op walkthrough is finally complete! There have certainly been some interesting scenarios that have occurred throughout the course of this walkthrough, and ultimately, I would say that this was one of my better series!
I initially had no plans to record a walkthrough for this game. It's difficult to record a co-op walkthrough, since I am unable to record as freely as I would like to. With co-op walkthroughs, I often times to have to work around another person's schedule, and it becomes more difficult when more people are involved. So, as you could probably imagine, a 5-player co-op walkthrough of this game seemed VERY unlikely for a long time.
I understand that my New Super Mario Bros. Wii walkthrough was a walkthrough that really got me noticed. To this day, it still remains the most popular walkthrough on my channel. And while I had gotten a few requests to record this game prior to its release, I was still against recording it, since I already had plans to record all sorts of other Wii U walkthroughs anyway. At the time of this game's release back in 2012, I had already been working on five co-op walkthroughs!
Sure enough, Andrew, Ian, and Pelt said that they would be willing to participate in this walkthrough, and I also included Rasik as the new, fifth player! And sure, Michael (better known as MegamanSonicX, MSX, or Messy) and Anthony (better known as shrooby) subsituted for Andrew and Rasik for a few parts in this walkthrough, but the main team consisted of Andrew, Ian, Pelt, Rasik, and myself. It was difficult to record this walkthrough, since in most scenarios, we were only able to record in short bits each day, and as such, several days had to be devoted to inviting everyone over for about two or three hours just to gather footage for the walkthrough.
Eventually, I began uploading the walkthrough, and I was very happy to see that people were really interested in the walkthrough! I initially uploaded the first part without a title, and I uploaded the walkthrough unannounced, as I previously stated that I would not record this game. Sure enough, I surprised many of my fans, and they were pleased with the surprise!
When the maingame of the walkthrough came to a close, I was really hoping that we would be able to record World 9 right off the bat! In contrast to my New Super Mario Bros. Wii walkthrough, I really wanted to complete the game and record as much as I could of the walkthrough. In NSMBWii, there was at least a year-long gap between the maingame videos and the World 9 videos, since I was not too interested in recording World 9 in that game. Sure enough, we did eventually record it, so I figured that we should do the same thing here! But, we were crunched on time, so we were not able to record World 9. Not only that, but we were all entering college, so if we were to record World 9 again, it would take a while before we would be able to do so. So, I was unsure as to whether or not it would actually happen.
During my Winter Break, I tried to gather everyone back in order to record World 9 of New Super Mario Bros. U! This way, I figured that I would have more stuff to upload during my college year! Unfortunately, I was unable to recruit everybody, and only Andrew and Rasik showed up. With just us three, we recorded Part 35 of this co-op walkthrough, which consisted of an extra level that we missed in the main walkthrough. But we felt that it wouldn't be fair to record World 9 without the rest of the gang, so we scrapped the idea at the time.
Eventually, summer DID roll around, and I worked REAL hard to gather everybody and finally record World 9! I was determined to get everything recorded! Sure enough, I was successful, and I hope that you guys enjoyed what came out of it! I know that you guys really enjoy my co-op videos, so hopefully gathering everybody was worthwhile. Recording these past few parts has been a bit stressful, but as long as you guys enjoyed the parts, then I'm happy!
For now, it's time to finally end this walkthrough, and I would like to thank you all for watching! This walkthrough was quite an adventure, but now it's finally time to end it and begin a new one! I don't know if there'll be future co-op walkthroughs, let along ones involving five players again, but that won't stop me from hosting regular ol' co-op videos in the future! My plans are uncertain, but regardless of what happens, I am determined to bring you guys fun and exciting videos! With that said, here's the final part of my New Super Mario Bros.
