The AER14 is similar in appearance to the AER9, although it is a lighter gray scheme with orange-red trim. It also has two computer chips housed inside its stock, that is connected to the rest of the weapon via wires. (Chips are glitched and only appear at certain angles)

The AER14 uses two Microfusion Cells per shot, also different from a standard laser rifle. It does not have iron sights view. It cannot be modded using standard Laser Rifle mods. It can be repaired with normal Laser Rifles.

The AER14 Prototype Laser Rifle is located in Vault 22. To obtain it, go through the fifth floor, Pest Control, and enter the stairway door to the common area which has a lock with a difficulty that varies according to the players level. The AER14 is laying on the ground next to a scorched skeleton.
