Hello and welcome back all my New World players, so the Devs finally took aggressive action to fix the games economy and listen to the community in terms of their banning penalties. What I mean by that is originally many people were only getting 24hr bans for utilizing exploits such as gold dupes. However these minor slaps on the wrist are no more and they apparently are getting everyone that participated in such tactics to ruin the economy and game experience for all of us. Which is a good thing because it's been demotivating for me and have read a lot of comments where it's been demotivating for you as well.
I'm not going to read this entire Dev post but I'll paraphrase and link it in the comments. They took decisive action against obvious bad actors with a first pass on November 2nd, permanently banning accounts of the most egregious offenders which eliminated over 80% of duped Coin and item value from the economy. The Devs then go on to apologize for the impact these types of dupes and players have had on New World. So I have to say the empathy is nice as they understand how damaging this is to the players psyche who are dedicating tremendous amounts of time to this game to get the best gear and we have other who cheat to attain it.
I believe all content used falls under the remits of Fair Use, but if any content owners would like to dispute this I will not hesitate to immediately remove said content.
