Pushing back the start date of Crusader Kings II almost a hundred years before the Old Gods, Paradox announced in August the brand new Charlemagne DLC. An expansion which will let players explore and shape the world along with Charles the Great and his unification of a large area of central and western Europe. The DLC will let you:

"-Special story event series for Charlemagne
-Annual Chronicle in the style of the Saxon chronicle
-Custom Kingdoms and Empires, create a new title from a lower tier title, can customize flag and name.
-Dozens of new cultures.
-Brand new system for climate and seasonal transitions.
-Regency overhaul"
among many other things.
