An Elimination Race doesn't have a fixed number of laps. Instead it there is a timer that counts down. Every time it reaches zero, the car in last position is eliminated.

The eliminated cars engine explodes and they coast to a stop, remaining as obstacles on the track for the drivers still running.

The race continues until one vehicle is remaining.

This was a new feature added to the early access update on 6/30/2015.
