This is a BSG mod for the game "Nexus - The Jupiter Incident"; one of the best space RTS!

And this mod... it's just... fucking AWESOME!

Look at the effects, when those Battlestars and Cylon Basestars clash; with fighters and bombers swirling around in between the flak fire, all the while shooting rail guns and missiles at each other; that's just like in the series!

And for some ultimate immersion, one can even follow a fighter, which looks truly unbelievable when flying through flak to shoot down enemy fighters and missiles...

The biggest problem: it's too unbalanced. One Battlestar can easily destroy two Basestars; mostly because your fighters and flak are just too good in shooting down the missiles from the Cylons.
And the Rail Gun does a lot of damage and fires pretty fast.
The Main Gun (only available on the Mercury class) does even more damage, but at least can only shoot to the front.
But that's nothing compared to the nukes; one hit and an enemy Basestar is destroyed! And the ships close to it will be badly damaged!

On a side note: this mod is completely stable (being beta and all that). I could finish all missions. At times the frames would go unreasonably down, but not for too long.

BUT there are two missions, where this game would always crash when trying to capture it with Fraps! I still uploaded the ~5min worth of video from these failed attempts though, 'cause the beginning of the fight looks just freaking awesome :-)
