The Mustang Cobra R is a handsome pony, but is hard to control since it's so tail-happy. This won't stop me from winning the race this time!
The 2000 (yes, 2000) Mustang was given a much beefier version of Ford's Modular V8, tuned by SVT to push 385hp. This pony/snake was not only the only Cobra on offer for the 2000 model year (since the '99 Cobras were down on claimed power), but it was only designed for the track. It had a racing-grade fuel cell, a stronger engine, and no creature comforts (AC, radio, rear seats) to save weight.
Only 300 of these majestic muscular horses were made, yet it doesn't feel as rare in games. I mean, have you ever seen a Mustang Cobra R as a police car? Probably not, but they're everywhere in Hot Pursuit 2.
