With the NFSCO mod released TODAY, there have been some notable issues for some players regarding drift events getting rebalanced. In this video i wanna show that it is possible with basically a starter car with minimal modifications.

At this point in Career you will only be able to unlock Nitrous from another race, and it is worth it to do so, as it proves very useful in the canyon drift. and no other performance modifications, while the Desperation Ridge event can grant you suspension and tires, potentially necesary for further progression.

At the start it is reccomended to back out until the speed sign. You cannot go too far, or else the game respawns you. Then you gotta use as much nitrous as possible to gain as much speed. Speed is the most deciding factor in the carbon drift events, even smallest of slides grant you massive scores when you get to the blue bar. The drift physics will also cause you to slide like mad, do not try to use nos to get out of any major slide.

Lifting off is also essential to swap sides, or slow down sometimes. The physics script usually does give you the lost speed back very quickly, so don't be surprised.

The best thing to do is... practice. I won't call you out as "skill issue" because we all were there, and i'm not particularly good either, especially after my long absence from Carbon.
