Play with your NFTs in Dungeon Master
Dungeon Master takes you to the other side of adventures! Hide NFT loot and open your dungeons for the wombats to lurk around and seek it. The bigger the mining power of hidden NFTs, the more points the wombats will get.
How does this all work?
We took a portion of the $WOMBAT supply on Ethereum (100m tokens on this address: 0x3b6C6d975aAb3863CA63E895265F3C9C31C8EB48) and locked them in a multisig smart contract. The tokens on this smart contract will always represent the current supply of $WOMBAT on the WAX blockchain.
At the same time, we minted a new $WOMBAT token on the WAX blockchain using a token smart contract on the wombattokens account.
We’ve also deployed liquidity pools on both Alcor and Taco to allow anyone to swap WAX for WOMBAT with no friction. Note: The new WAX-based $WOMBAT can also be swapped from the Token Swap function within the Wombat app.
We’re currently working on setting up a fully-fledged token bridge solution between Ethereum and WAX, so for the time being, any transfers between the WAX and Ethereum networks will have to be facilitated by us. We plan to bring the bridge live within the next 2–3 months pending the setup and some successful testing.
What can you do with $WOMBAT on WAX?
During Season 6, we’ll start offering purchases of Season Passes and other items directly from the Dungeon Master Shop for (WAX-based) $WOMBAT tokens. The minting fee for additional clan membership NFTs will also have to paid in $WOMBAT rather than WAX.
Part of the proceeds from these purchases (more precisely: 20%) will be burned once a month on the Ethereum blockchain.
What do existing $WOMBAT token holders gain?
Since a large portion of Wombat users are familiar with the WAX blockchain, launching $WOMBAT on WAX will reduce barriers to using the token on a regular basis.
Existing $WOMBAT token holders will benefit from a much higher pace of adoption of the $WOMBAT token, with tens of thousands of additional holders and an ongoing demand for the token. This in turn will drive value and volume of the $WOMBAT token going forward.
Where to get WAX-based $WOMBAT?
We’ll be adding options to acquire $WOMBAT within the Wombat ecosystem, but until then, you’ll be able to use Alcor Swap, Taco Swap or the built-in Wombat Token Swap feature to swap WAX (or any other WAX-based token) for WAX-based $WOMBAT.
