10 years ago, Pokemon made the move to 3D for the first time in Gen VI with Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. Past games were in 3D, but this never occurred with a main series installment. And in the decade since its release, the world of Pokemon has gotten bigger (with some bugs here and there). We've entered a world entirely in 3D. Sure, Pokemon Sword and Shield did this already, but aside from certain areas, it's not as much when compared to how it is in Scarlet and Violet. Regardless, this franchise is getting bigger each and every day.

So to celebrate 10 years of the first 3D mainline games, let's have Greninja face Gyarados. Why these two? Well one is the best starter evolution ever (in my opinion) and the other is a strange ace for a leader desiring a perfect world with a certain flare. And they technically fought even though one of them was shiny, but that Pokemon only has one palette (unless I'm missing something).

I was lazy to have the fight at the Kalos Pokemon League for this, but I did have the proper BGM. That being said, this stage did return in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which came out 5 years ago.
