Welcome to the second part of our Nier Automata Guide. We’ve finished the tutorial and now we’re moving on to the Resistance Camp.
The Bunker
Watch the intro scenes which give us a little background on the world of Nier Automata. Afterward, you’ll be taken through a setup tutorial. Its also being recorded as it gets used later on in the game so don't take too long with it.
Afterward, 2B will awaken and we need to head over to the Commander for our next mission briefing.
You’ll get a couple of little tutorial conversations as you head towards the commander, make your way there and find out that we need to head back down to the earth. We’re going to be helping out with the Resistance.
Grab a flight suit from the hanger and head down. You’ll have another encounter, bullet hell style as we had at the start of the game but it shouldn’t pose any real issues for you. Once it's completed you’ll arrive in the city area.
Take your time to explore the city area, you can destroy the machines attacking any of the ‘boxes’ you’ll find scattered around the area. They give you more map data for restoring them.
When your ready head over to the marked area on your map to find The Resistance Camp.
The Resistance Camp
Once inside speak to Anemone to begin a questline. She’ll ask you to help out some of the others in the camp.
Speak to both the Weapons Dealer and Supplies Trader to get both of their quests.
Your map will direct you to the area you need to head to. Once there you’ll need to destroy some machines for one quest and collect the shiny objects on the ground for the other. It won't give you exact locations for the gathering aspect so check the video if you're stuck.
Head back over to Anemone after you’ve turned those in. She’ll have another quest for you as well. She’ll ask that we head towards the Desert to help out some of the Resistance experiencing trouble there.
As you exit the Resistance camp you’ll get a “mail received” notification, head over to a save point to read it. It tells us we can go and reclaim our gear from the tutorial! How generous!
Head over and grab everything you had before you detonated your black box. Then we’ll continue to the desert in the next section.
